Women Farmer's Perspectives on Climate Change and Intention to Adopt Sustainable Agriculture

Purpose: This study highlights the significance of sustainable agriculture and delves into views women farmers on climate change their aspirations to adopt farming practices. Theoretical framework: The opportunity comes in creating fresh methods, abilities, interventions that foster innovation. challenge is figuring out ways mitigate its effects search for alternatives. Women particular need creative behaviour decision-making power adapt since they face resource, cultural, societal, personal constraints. Design/methodology/approach: To better understand how think about change, agriculture, related topics, we conducted structured, open-ended interviews with them. Twenty-six female Himalayan state Sikkim were chosen using convenience sampling. Qualitative data analysis tools used analyse interview data. A web-based tool was sentiment analysis, which also contributed identifying themes. Findings: Positive sentiments identified use organic agriculture. Most respondents believed government support required large-scale farming. acknowledged positive vermicomposting. showed vermicomposting provides good health growth plants crops. Resilient crop selection as a method assists standing against weather fluctuations. Research, Practical & Social Implications: Crop based seasons vital yields. thematic presented response toward applying rotation, intercropping, companion cropping. Compared lower inventive skills, these traits embraced more agricultural practises. Originality/Value: Giving greater autonomy will thereby enhance adoption techniques, so enhancing food security reducing change. outcome help achieve Sustainable Development Goals gender equality action set by United Nations.
